The singer, Deloris, witnesses her shady lover, Curtis, a local mobster, ordering one of his gang to be executed. Officer Eddie comes up with a special witness protection program and brings her to a nunnery. Their notorious talent poor choir is so turned around by Deloris that it is soon the talk of the town. The Broadway Musical hit in Linz for the first time!
Wieder einmal ist es dem Landestheater Linz gelungen, sich die Rechte für ein Hit-Musical zu sichern, das bisher ausschließlich in kommerziellen Produktionen zu sehen war. Alan Menken (Die Schöne und das Biest, Aladdin, Rapunzel – neu verföhnt) schrieb die mitreißende Musik für die Musicalversion der bekannten Filmkomödie mit Whoopie Goldberg, Regie führt Andreas Gergen (Besuch der alten Dame, I Am From Austria) und es choreografiert Kim Duddy (The Wiz).
