Information
Tristan und Isolde is a great love story that goes far beyond the borders of a rationale and therefore has no chance of surviving in the real world. In 1993 the German dramatist and director, Heiner Müller staged this work at the Bayreuth Festival and created a love and death roundelay of antique clarity. A co-production with the Opéra de Lyon, Müllers assistant director for the original production and current acting director in Linz, Stephan Suschke, resurrects this festival production on the stage of the Musiktheater under the musical direction of Markus Poschner with the Bruckner Orchestra Linz.
