Le Prophète

Musically enthralling, virtually “overrunning” the audience with the force of his compositions, the operas of Giacomo Meyerbeer's (1791-1864) are composite theater presentations. He was not only an electrifying composer but a talented dramaturge who intertwines all the components of music theater such as choreography, composition, instrumentation, text, and staging into a total concept.
