Information
Following the great success of Sleeping Beauty, Andrey Kaydanovskiy returns to TANZ LINZ with a brand-new creation. In this latest work, the internationally renowned choreographer turns his attention to William Shakespeare—not only as a writer but as a complex artistic figure. While Shakespeare’s works and texts are well documented and widely studied, the true source of his inspiration remains a mysterious and fascinating enigma.
Known for his narrative sensitivity, Kaydanovskiy takes the murders in Shakespeare’s plays as a starting point. With humor and irony, he crafts a dance piece that balances between reality and fiction, shedding light on human passions. The work explores the relationship between artist and art—and questions our willingness to believe in stories.
This production invites audiences to challenge the boundaries of perception and embark on a journey through time, art, and identity—rich with intensity, surprise, and depth.
