Information
The successful conductor Daniel Daréus returns to Ljusåker, the place of his childhood, after a heart attack. Because of his stage name, nobody recognizes him there at first. Reluctantly, he takes over the direction of the church choir and inspires its members with unconventional methods for music. But not everyone in the village likes the fresh wind blowing through the village.
Sweden's probably most famous award-winning film becomes a moving musical, which ran ensuite in Stockholm from September 2018 until the corona-induced end in March 2020, and was enthusiastically celebrated. The Landestheater Linz has succeeded in obtaining the rights for the German language premiere of this hit musical.
