Information

The servant couple Figaro and Susanna want to marry and successfully resist his masters. The story is turbulent in this game about the law of the first night, secret and less secret desires and circumstances. The whole vocabulary of comedy with clever deceptions, dates, fake letters and the shadows of past passions is mobilised and plunges this day into the breathlessness of madness. With Le nozze di Figaro, Mozart and Da Ponte created one of the most perfect musical comedies in the history of opera.
