The award-winning team of 80 Days around the World adapted Ingmar Bergman’s famous family saga. Taking place Sweden in 1907 the Ekdahl family is life starts to unravel as theater director, Oscar Ekdahl, unexpectedly dies. His wife, Emilie, marries Bishop Edvard Vergérus and moves with her children, Fanny and Alexander, into the bishop’s residence where he rules with an iron fist. Because of Edvard’s cruel regime, the family makes every effort to bring Emilie, Fanny and Alexander back to them again.
