Information
Some call the content of Verdi’s famous Il trovatore as the pinnacle of absurdity. It’s the story of a mother who accidentally throws her child into a fire. Of course, such a deed is monstrous and absurd. However, perhaps opera is never closer to its genus than through such a story. Because the stronger the emotions, the more the storyline separates itself from the mundane and ordinary, the more the music can evolve bringing the emotive truth behind the depicted events glowingly to the forefront.
